Abstract: | This thesis is an investigation of the method of phenomenology. Phenomenology is defined and the role of phenomenological description explored. The experience of the method of phenomenology is then explored, followed by a consideration of the role of language in phenomenological description, demonstrating its ability to disturb existing perceptual practices. The thesis concludes by noting the critical capacity and political function of thedescriptivemethod of phenomenology. |
