Title: Maintaining Turfgrass Coverage Under High Traffic Conditions
Author: Dodson, K. L.; Tardif, F.; Jordan, K. S.; Lyons, E. M.
Department: Department of Plant Agriculture
Abstract: One of the greatest challenges for sports turf managers is to maintain good playing quality throughout the play season. This article discusses an overseeding project completed on sports fields at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute. The project involved four different overseeding rates, perennial ryegrass and supina bluegrass as the overseeded species, and how their establishment was impacted by mowing height and overseeding frequency.
