Abstract: More than 50 faculty, staff and graduate students conduct production systems research related to pork. State-of-the-art facilities and a high-health herd at Arkell Research Station provide a foundation for much of their work. Industry and government support this leading edge research that focuses on swine health and welfare, nutrition and productivity, and pork food safety and quality.
