Abstract
This issue's editorial comments on the debate about publishing a student newspaper in addition to the O. A. C. Review. Agricultural articles pertain to the activities of the dairy livestock judging team, preparation for livestock shows, the Ontario sugar beet industry, and electric soil heating. Other agricultural articles address the international travels of the Fourth Year Horticultural Option students, the history and production of cocoa, the history of maize, and flowering grasses. The agronomy section reprints the address given to the Field Husbandry Club, and agriculture in Egypt with an explanation of gerfs and gesiras. The Literary Notes column provides an update on the activities of the Philharmonic Society, the debates, and the Literary Society. Campus news reports on the Third Year Party, the success of the Halloween Dance, the influence of college spirit, and athletic activities. The Macdonald Institute column presents a short story and update on the freshettes. The Alumni column provides alumni updates and a marriage announcement. Other articles focus on the history and creation of the national Thanksgiving Day holiday, the origins of Halloween, and a student's experience as a summer camp counsellor. At the end of the issue is a list of the home addresses of the students.
