Title: Rags Seldom Turn to Riches Fall 2012: Part 3 Substance Abuse, Poverty and the United States
Author: Bristo, Bethany; Raas, Taylor; Nagy, Sara
Abstract: This seminar explored poverty in Canada, the U.S., and parts of Europe and the gap that exists between the rich and the poor. This poster asks the question: if a person lives in poverty in the United States, will s/he become a drug addict? Sources as diverse as government reports, media reports, and national agencies provide a context to assess the question and suggest recommendations to different agencies on how to reduce the risk.
