Author: FYS Class Winter 2012
Abstract: This seminar focused on the nature of poverty from many different perspectives including social, economic, and political issues. This poster explores the practice of infanticide, particularly of female infants, in countries such as India. The issues explored include the reasons for infanticide, what is being done to address it, and long-term solutions for this problem. There are recommendations for how the government can address infanticide and what people in the developed world can do.
