Title: Challenging Cultural Dilemmas
Author: Bell-Irving, Rachael; Alberico, Aiden; Davis, Corrin; Tavares, Breanne; Ilves, Laura; Milne, Taylor; Hart, Matthew; Selvaranjan, Kusala
Abstract: This seminar focused on the collision of many different social and cultural issues including culture, law, art in various societies and time periods. This poster examines two of the most interesting cases that were explored in the seminar. The first is based around the creation of timelines and the authentication of a portrait of William Shakespeare. The second considers what constitutes the distinction between being a human being and a person, in the context of legal petitions made on behalf of a chimpanzee.
