Title: Universities need to support and encourage faculty and staff to lead environmental sustainability projects
Author: Brinkhurst, M.; Rose, P.; Maurice, G.; Ackerman, J.D.; Institute for Community Engaged Scholarship
Abstract: The importance of faculty- and staff-led sustainability projects has been frequently overlooked in the research on campus environmental initiatives. While their inside knowledge and long-term association with a university can help to make their projects a success, they need support and encouragement from students and the university administration.
Description: This summary is a project of the Institute for Community Engaged Scholarship (ICES) at the University of Guelph, with project partners: the Catalyst Centre, SPARK Program at the University of Guelph, and Knowledge Mobilization Unit at York University.
