Title: Laboratory aids for the detection of Brucellosis in cattle utilizing milk samples
Author: Chandran, Sankar Ram
Abstract: OBJECT OF THESIS To determine the reliability of the Ring Test in the detection of agglutinins in milk of animals infected with Brucella abortus. To find the correlation between the presence of agglutinins in the milk, as determined by the Ring test, and agglutinins in the blood as indicated by the blood serum agglutination test. To ascertain the percentage of cows, showing a positive Ring test, which are actual shedders of Brucella abortus by way of the milk. To ascertain also whether animals showing a negative Ring test may be emitting Brucella abortus organisms from the udder.
