Ready SET Go!

CWSE-ON and Ryerson Engineering launched the Ready SET Go! workshop in schools across Ontario in 2004 as part of the Science and Technology Consortium “Partners for Change” project . CWSE-ON continued to offer workshops in Grade 7-12 classrooms until 2011.

Workshops were delivered by CWSE-ON staff - young women who were students or recent graduates from science and engineering programs and very effective role models. After a short slide presentation that included examples of SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) programs of study and careers, participants engaged in team-based activities such as the design of collapsible structures or wind turbines.

The collection includes: 2011 slide presentation with presenter notes, descriptions of the hands-on activities and pre- and post-workshop evaluation tools.
