Queer Love Songs: A Monologue Sequence is a hybrid theatre/poetry text that explores the diversity of queer experience. Each poetic monologue in the series was crafted from an anonymous online submission from a member of the queer community. The online collection tool encouraged participants to divulge something from their life, with no genre or topic guide. The roots of this thesis are in queer confessional and performance poetry, and a variety of theatre practices including documentary theatre, collective creation, and Undesirable Elements. |
