Abstract: This study evaluates the performance of a sponsor’s fertilizer when applied to a low-cut Kentucky bluegrass in a soil rootzone. Treatments consisted of 22 different variations in rate and volume of the sponsor's fertilizer compared to 1 control group. Significant effects on turf colour and visual ratings based on canopy reflection were seen till the last day of observation, 82 days after initial fertilizer application. All fertilized plots showed positive improvement over the unfertilized plot. Generally, plots receiving 2x rates performed higher than plots that only received 1x rate, with minimal exceptions. The 2x treatment that performed the poorest was IHS 71155 and was outranked by the 1x treatment IHS 632416. The only outlier seen in the data was the 1x treatment IHS 71163, which outranked many of the 2x treatments.
