Title: Comparing different formulations of Fiesta to determine application safety for turfgrass

Abstract: Applying low risk herbicides on turfgrasses to control weeds and maintain quality is common practice in areas under a cosmetic pesticide ban or reduced herbicide framework. This study compared liquid and soluble granular formulations of a well known commercially recognized low-risk herbicide, Fiesta, at varying rates to assess the impacts on turfgrass quality and safety following application. Quality of turfgrass was analyzed using point-quadrat counts, visual ratings, and NDVI readings throughout the experiment. The different formulations of Fiesta did not cause any significant turfgrass loss in the turf-type tall fescue experiment. The FSG666 treatment in the Kentucky bluegrass safety trial was the only treatment to have significant turf loss when compared to the untreated control. Phytotoxicity was observed with all the Fiesta products post-application
