Title: Honey Bees, Bumble Bees, and Biocontrol: New Alliances Between Old Friends
Author: Kevan, Peter G.; Kapongo, Jean-Pierre; AI-mazra'awi, Mohammad; Shipp, Les
Abstract: The capacity of bees to vector spores, bacteria, and viruses can be turned to our advantage by using them to transport biological control agents, a technique known as pollinator biocontrol vector technology (Kevan et aI., 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005). This chapter describes the range of biocontrol agents useful for this technique and the targets against which they can be used.
