This thesis provides evidence on the determinants of the adoption of robotic milking system (RMS) and the effect of RMS on farm-level productivity and profitability in Ontario dairy using the Ontario Dairy Farm Accounting Project (ODFAP) data. Results show that farmers' age and education levels have positive effects on the adoption of RMS. The results also show that RMS has a positive effect on farms' productivity and profitability. |
