Title: Comparing different formulations of Fiesta to determine application safety for turfgrass

Abstract: Applying herbicides on turfgrasses to control weeds and maintain quality is common practice in many industries and households. This study compared liquid and dry formulations of an herbicide called Fiesta at varying rates to assess the impacts on turfgrass quality. Quality of turfgrass was analyzed using point-quadrat counts, visual ratings, and NDVI readings throughout the experiment. There were no significant differences between the point-quadrat counts on percent turfgrass cover between pre and post-treatments and the control. The visual ratings showed significant differences between rates of Fiesta and the control at various days after treatments. The NDVI readings revealed no significant differences in colour reflectance between various rates of the Fiesta and the control. The different formulations of Fiesta did not cause any significant turfgrass loss in this experiment, however, phytotoxicity was observed with all the Fiesta products post-application.
