dc.description.abstract The Exiters follows three young adults on Canada’s West Coast as they struggle to hold onto life- long friendship in light of dividing attractions, while also dealing with an environmental crisis — the eruption of the supervolcano Yellowstone Caldera — that will mean the end of the world as they know it. The three young adults must learn to survive in the new world they inhabit, and ultimately must find the way back to each other — reinforcing ideas of the necessity of family: found or otherwise. The Exiters also shines a spotlight on apathy during an environmental crisis and the way we distribute emotional importance, particularly regarding nostalgia. en_US
