This project is a collaboration between the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute and the Guelph-Wellington Local Immigration Partnership to explore the needs of international students hoping to transition to permanent residents. Through a review of the literature and key interviews with staff of post-secondary institutions and settlement service organizations, this report highlights offerings and gaps in services to international students in Guelph and Wellington. It also shares examples of successful initiatives elsewhere in Canada, and offers recommendations to better address the needs of students as they seek to become permanent residents. |
