Title: Library Learning Objects (2019) - UX Study
Author: McLaughlin, Juliene; Rayment, Erik; Leduc, Miranda
Abstract: In March 2019, the library's UX Team explored students’ perceptions of library learning objects available through the Digital Learning Commons (DLC). Based on our findings we complied a list of questions for the DLC Team to consider: (1) Why would a student seek out library learning objects created by the University of Guelph? What is our added value?; (2) How do we make sure content is specific enough (not too broad) to be relevant?; (3) Is findability a priority? If so, how can we funnel students to DLC content?; (4) How can we make sure that our content does not seem patronizing to students?; and (5) Where does the DLC fit into the Learning Commons and our physical space, more broadly?
