Title: Huron County surface water quality data study: Final report
Author: Bonte-Gelok, Shelly; Joy, Douglas M.
Abstract: The objectives of this study were to: identify surface water quality trends with respect to nitrate, total phosphorus and bacteria over time; determine relationships between the observed trends and agricultural and urban practices; and to incorporate the information into a geographical information system (GIS) database. The result is a tool that can be used by decision-makers to identify significant pollutant sources to target for remedying. In addition, the study is to identify deficiencies in the data that must be overcome to make rational decisions on water quality in the County.
