Abstract:
|
A Clean Up Rural Beaches (CURB) plan was developed to identify the relative impact of pollution sources on reservoir beach closures. This report outlines an implementation strategy directed towards minimizing future restrictions on reservoir use. Additional environmental benefits associated with water quality improvement must be considered in any formulation of a financial assistance program. Generally, the CURB model predictions were consistent with the field measured data. Variability was attributed to sedimentation and resuspension, model assumptions, undetected tile drainage contamination and/or field measured loading estimates. |
