Abstract:
|
The major purpose of this study was to examine the factors that motivate farmers in southwestern Ontario to adopt conservation tillage practices. Specifically, this research focussed on the adoption of conservation tillage practices in conjunction with Tillage 2000, an on-farm conservation tillage demonstration and research program. Through analysis of the study results, it was hoped that knowledge of farmers' existing attitudes and perceptions could be used to develop more effective educational programs and incentives for higher levels of adoption. |
