Abstract
In October 2018, the UX Team conducted facilitated card sorts with undergraduate and graduate students to help determine the labeling and groupings of the library's appointment-based services. Based on our findings we recommend: (1) creating clear and explicit definitions of our services. These definitions need to outline what the user should expect at an appointment; (2) being extra thoughtful about word choice. If we use “research” ensure we are clear about what this means; and (3) using terms that are relevant to undergrads when labeling appointments that are overwhelmingly used by them.
