Title: LibGuides & AZ Database List UX Study - Final Report
Author: McLaughlin, Juliene; Bergart, Robin
Abstract: In December 2017, the UX Team wanted to understand how students experienced the library’s LibGuides & the A-Z Database List. Based on our findings we recommend: (1) exploring how LibGuides can be more visible on and integrated with the library website; (2) exploring integration of course reserves into course guides; (3) prioritizing the most relevant resources on course guides and putting them at the top; (4) ensuring that all links to guides on the library website use consistent language; and (5) further reflecting on how to position the guides for students when Primo seems to be students’ starting (and ending) point in research; and (6) consider creating a video explaining the use, purpose, and breadth of guides.
