Title: Library Furniture UX Study - Final Report
Author: McLaughlin, Juliene; Bergart, Robin
Abstract: In April 2018, the UX Team gathered feedback from students on the library’s new furniture on the lower level and second floor. Based on our findings we recommend: (1) continuing to offer a variety of study space options; (2) adding partitions under all the carrels and tables to help prevent “awkward footsies”; (3) providing additional chairs at the stand up desks; (4) considering ergonomically-friendly options like adjustable chairs; (5) exploring a system for students to report facility-related issues; and (6) investigating different soft seating options.
