Title: Perceptions of Internal Communications by UG Staff and Faculty UX Study - Final Report
Author: McLaughlin, Juliene; Bergart, Robin
Abstract: The Library's UX Team conducted focus groups with faculty and staff in August 2018 to learn about their attitudes and perceptions towards internal communications. Based on our findings we recommended: (1) using multiple communication channels over time to reach a broad audience; (2) showing a single slide at the beginning of department meetings to increase faculty awareness; (3) increasing word-of-mouth communication using the model of department ambassadors; (4) experimenting with announcements in classrooms when targeting messages to students; and (5) accompanying emails with event invitations with calendar invites
