This slim issue begins the school year with an article on a successful alumnus - G. R. Lane. Agricultural articles pertain to the problem of an agricultural education contributing to rural flight, reforestation affecting farming in Quebec, and the profitability of lamb and wool. Other articles address the occupation of a proofreader, and insectivorous plants in Canada. Campus news reports on the new buildings constructed on campus, an obituary for Miss Annie Hallett, and new units of linear measurement. The Macdonald Institute column highlights the Dominion Fruit and Vegetable Exhibit at the Calgary Stampede designed by an alumna, and alumnae activities. While the Alumni column provides alumni updates. |
