Abstract

This Christmas issue begins with Stephen Leacock's 1924 story "The Christmas Ghost". Agricultural articles pertain to the fox-fur industry, agronomy as a vocation, methods for eradicating the Gypsy Moth, irrigation in Alberta, and a survey of hygienic dairy practices on Michigan farms. Other articles address community segregation between rural and town residents and a travel diary of a visit to the Channel Islands. Campus news reports on the athletic activities, the Philharmonic events, Armistice Day 1925, and the Returned Men's Dance. The Alumni column provides an update of various alumni banquets and alumni activities. The Macdonald Institute column highlights the challenges to home economics graduates, the trials of demonstration work, and alumnae updates.
