Abstract

Agricultural articles in this issue pertain to research on clearing timberland for farming, utilizing tankage as hog feed, diseases that affect potatoes, and land drainage. Articles provided by alumni include why one alumnus remains a farmer, and a description of life in Smyrna, Turkey. Horticultural articles include the history of the wax fruits in the O. A. C. museum, landscape architecture for parks, and propagating delphiniums. The editorial contains a tribute to faculty member Dr. Annie Ross and the plans for the development of a food science building. The highlight of the campus news is the examination results. Other campus news includes the renaming of the Old Residence to Johnston Hall, the Third Year Banquet, and athletic results. The Alumni column provides an update of alumni activities. The Macdonald Institute column contains an article on chemistry for the home and alumnae updates.
