Abstract: This issue begins the new school year with an article proposing that rural education and community building could address the "rural problem". The agricultural articles in this issue pertain to the American livestock industry and poultry research, how the British utilize permanent pastures, the value of egg laying contests for the poultry industry, and farm machinery as labor saving devices. One student shares his reminiscence of bombing during the war. Campus news reports on the annual college elections for the different societies, and the athletics programme. The Alumni column contains alumni and alumnae updates. This issue does not contain a Macdonald column.
