Journalist, Arthur Hawkesメ contribution to this issue is a second article on the farmer as warrior and statesman. Agricultural articles pertain to the use of electricity to enhance crops, instructions for creating a fungicide for potatoes, crossbreeding cattle with bison, and a summary of the tractor short course at the college. Other articles address the novels of Thomas Hardy, a description of a meatpacking house, and a reminiscence of building a log barn. The serialized wartime story titled "Apres la Guerre" is continued in this issue. Campus news features social events of the graduating classes. The Macdonald Institute column highlights a guest address by Mary Bollert regarding the problems of women's work. The Alumni column contains alumni and alumnae updates. |
