dc.description.abstract This spring issue has student essays on the Ontarian pioneer's contribution to agriculture, the romance of Canadian history, a student's experience as a fire ranger, and hazing in British schools. Agricultural articles pertain to insects that infest seeds, cement tile for field drainage, a local Jersey cow that set a world's record in milk production, the demand for Canadian apples in Great Britain, and demonstration work in orchards. The Experimental column contains an article on the importance of foundation stock for improving farm crops. The Poultry articles features the spring work of raising chicks, and an article on how the government could help the poultry industry. Campus news outlines the future of the O. A. C. Cosmopolitan Club and results of the indoor track meet. The Schools' and Teachers' Department column features the practical studies of trees and forestry. The Macdonald column features an article on the value of teaching domestic science in public school.
