Abstract:

This issue's articles pertain to William Duthie's breeding of Shorthorn cattle, Canadian dairy exports to Great Britain, and the development of the science of entomology. Agricultural articles report on the International Live Stock Exhibition in Chicago and the Provincial Winter Fair in Guelph. The Experimental Union articles address selection of the best seed for crops, and the Ontario Agricultural and Experimental Union's annual meeting and banquet. An article on the development of markets for Ontario's fruit industry is located in the Horticulture column. Campus articles are regarding the election results for the various college clubs. The Macdonald Institute articles address the practical applications of domestic art classes - specifically sewing, travel experiences of some of the students, and activities of the women's clubs. Alumni news is available in the Our Old Boys column and this issue features reunions of the British Columbia Old Boys and the class of 1906. |
