07 - Becoming a 21st Century Learner

You've been in school for 12 years, but how well do you know yourself as a learner? This course gives you the opportunity to take a step back from the frenetic pace of the first year of university and reflect on what you are learning and how you learn best. You will develop an "autoethnography" (writing that puts your personal experience into a wider cultural context) to discover what learning at university means for you, as well as for other members of the university community, including other students, your professors, and staff on campus. You will also experiment with different ways of expressing ideas, including digital storytelling, posters, and mind maps. Instructors: Robin Bergart & Melanie Parlette-Stewart
