Abstract
The two themes of this summer issue are the effects of war on O. A. C. students and several student's experience with agricultural education. Of interest is an article on how a woman teacher became interested in teaching agriculture at the Rama Indian School. Agricultural education articles cover such topics as disseminating agricultural research to farmers, the experience of teaching at a rural school, and tending the school garden during the summer. Other articles address the improvement of farm homes, interior decorating for the homemaker, and the profitability of a successful farm manager. Wartime themed articles include the benefits of an athletic life, the challenge of increasing food production during periods of high unemployment, and the growing list of students on the Roll of Honor (war fatalities). One student shares their experience as an agricultural researcher. The Alumni column includes obituaries, military letters from the front, and a photograph of the O. A. C. members of the Princess Patricia infantry. The Macdonald Institute column reports on the Macdonald elections. While the Locals column provides campus humour.
