Poultry articles address the limited lifecycle of an egg-producing hen, a humorous article regarding urban chickens, and the problems of poultry breeding. The horticultural article is focused on the summer care of orchards. The editorial comments on student enlistment and the duty of the men who stay behind. Campus news reports on the effects of the war on athletic participation, the Literary Society's debates, and campus elections. The Alumni column includes entries of enlistments in the military and other alumni activities. The Macdonald Institute column provides the Y. W. C. A. annual report and some college humour.
