Abstract

This early spring issue begins with articles on spring activities such as maple syrup production (sugaring off), brooding baby chicks, and spring care for orchards. Published in this issue is Dr. Creelman's travel diary of his journey through Australasia and the Orient. Other articles pertain to the College's short course in agriculture, a history of the Vineland Experimental Farm, and agricultural education in public schools. Campus articles encourage students to patronize the Co-operative Supply Store and a report on the annual meeting of the Ontario Agricultural and Experimental Union. Campus news reports of the athletic activities, the O. A. C. ex-students banquet, and the carnival. The Alumni column lists the O. A. C. and Macdonald Institute graduates of 1914 and their current residence, as well as, students who have enlisted in the military and other alumni activities. The Macdonald Institute column reports on the activities of the Y. W. C. A., fundraisers for the war effort, women's athletics, and the winter promenade. While the Locals column provides campus humour.
