Red Thread Disease Control, Summer 2003, Bayer
This study evaluates the performance of five fungicide treatments and two fertilizer treatments in attempts to control red thread disease in comparison to an untreated plot. The study was conducted from July to September 2003. The fertilizer treatments received an extra application of treatment (N-P-K, 25-3-20, at 2 kg/100m2) at the start of the experiment in addition to the standard application which happens in the fall. Results from the study show that all treatments significantly reduced the disease when compared to the control plot. The only exception to this trend was 26 gt (41 ml - 21 days). None of the treatments showed phytotoxicity.
