An overview of the 1987 UTRCA manure and waste management work program. A significant portion of the 1987 work program involved the promotion of corrective measures on livestock operations in the Upper Thames watershed. Staff worked closely with the local Beaches Strategy Program on this project. A total of 850 livestock operations were approached during the year. These farms had either been targeted from previous survey work (Hayman and Merkley, 1986) or were dairy operations.
