Abstract

This study evaluated five different chemical treatments in comparison to a control group in its performance in the control of brown patch disease that was caused by Rhizoctonia solani creeping bentgrass. The chemical treatments was Quintozene 75WP (75% PCNB) at 90.7 g/100m2, Terraclor FF (40% PCNB) at 170 ml/100m2, and Blocker 4F (38.3% PCNB) at 177.5 ml/100m2. After the first day of treatment, the plots were treated with the pathogen at 10 g/m2. A second treatment was applied a week later, and data was collected on the plots every week through the whole study. Data concluded that the average disease levels average around 4%, and there were no phytotoxic levels detected.
