The University of Guelph has provided 'chat' reference services since 2002. In this time, the service has evolved and changed with different technologies, and we are currently delivering this service through a ScholarsPortal initiative: Ask: Chat with a librarian. This service is a collaborative venture including 10 other Ontario Universities.
