dc.description.abstractFour treatments of experimental humic products and two control plots were observed to determine treatment effects on the shoot and root growth of creeping bentgrass. Data was collected in the rate of germination and the establishment rate of the seed as well as the rate of the shoot and root growth of already established creeping bentgrass. All of the humate treatments showed significant improvement to the root system growth in a high sand media. Little differences were seen between treatments and the differences observed showed no correlation to each other. The strongest treatment effects were seen in the 100% sand medium over the 80:20 plots.en_US
