In 1997, Muck Crops Research Station staff conducted and/or cooperated on research projects with researchers of the Laboratory Services Division and Departments of Environmental Biology, Horticultural Science and the Horticultural Research Institute of Ontario of the University of Guelph; researchers from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada research stations at London, Vineland Station and St. Jean, Quebec; the Ontario Pesticide Residue Testing Laboratory; research departments of the Crop Protection Chemical Industry and growers. This report highlights the research projects which were conducted in 1997. The results published in this report should be treated as a progress report. Some of the chemicals used in the trials are not registered for use on the crops they were applied to. Additional trials may be necessary before any firm conclusions and recommendations can be given.
