Abstract
This study evaluates experimental and commercial breeds of Kentucky bluegrass in a variety of locations across North America. In 2005 110 different types of experimental and commercial breeds of Kentucky bluegrass were planted and maintained. The seeds received medium maintenance and had a mowing height of 50 mm. Seeds were planted in a sandy loam rootzone. Data was collected on colour uniformity and quality in 2007. Significant differences were observed among the different seeds. Cultivar Bd 99-2103 exhibited the highest visual colour rating and Bariris the lowest. Cultivar CPP 822 exhibited the highest visual quality and uniformity rating and Kenblue the lowest.
