Abstract
Seventy-six varieties of pickling peppers, submitted for trial by seed companies as well as 25 cultivars entered in co-ordinated yield trials across Ontario were seeded inside in 1970. Transplants in peat-pots were transplanted into the field in May by hand. Cultural methods were those commonly in use for this area. No sidedressing of any fertilizer was necessary. The use of peat pots facilitated a continuous plant growth resulting in extremely satisfactory yields.
