The River Bottom is a novel that tracks the events following the death of a teenaged boy’s father. On a seemingly uneventful weekend in a vacation town at the end of its days, Jimmy grapples with what he knows and doesn’t know surrounding his father’s death. As he attempts to find clarity in circumstances where the truth seems unattainable, Jimmy’s world begins to grow more meaningless and superficial.
