More than 30 faculty, staff and graduate students conduct research related to horses. State of the art facilities at the Ontario Veterinary College and dedicated research herds at Arkell Research Station provide a foundation for much of their work. Racing industry associations and programs support this leading edge research that focuses in a variety of areas, including disease prevention and treatment, locomotion and lameness, and reproduction.
