Abstract
Description
The following pages represent a summary of the results from the 2001 processing tomato cultivar evaluation trials. One of the main goals of this project has been to evaluate performance of cultivars over a range of soil types and microclimates. The results have been summarized to show average performance over all sites, as well as performance at each site separately. The reader will find results from both the field performance (ie. yield trials), fruit characteristics (including size, uniformity, firmness and others), processing performance (ie. peeling trials) and juice quality characteristics in order to provide a more complete picture of a cultivar's suitability for the industry.
