Abstract

The national Turfgrass evaluation program is a series of trails across North America looking at the performance of different experiential and commercial cultivars of Kentucky Bluegrass. 110 different cultivars of Kentucky Bluegrass both experimental and commercial were seeding. Data was collected on the germination rate and coverage. Significant differences were observed between the different cultivars in the cover development of the seeds and the speed of germination. As this study is ongoing at the time of publishing this report no final conclusions can be made at this time.
