Abstract

This issue's agricultural articles pertain to dairy farming in Western Canada, marketing fruit to the Prairie Provinces, crop rotation for livestock forage, summer insect pests, and the improvements in fruit stockbreeding. Poultry articles include the profitability of raising turkeys, and considering poultry farming as a source of revenue. Professor Reynolds addresses the rural problem of the farm labor shortage. The Macdonald column features an article, with photographs, of the May Day celebrations, and reminiscences of the graduating class. Campus news contains a list of the winners of the scholarships and medals, cricket game schedule, rugby prospects for the 1913 season, and graduate employment announcements. The Alumni column concludes the biographies of alumni who had won medals while they were students.
